Description

Hailes Castle print. Limited edition giclee.

One of Scotland’s oldest stone castles, Hailes dates from the early 1200s, with additions over the next two centuries. It is thought that the Earl of Bothwell, Mary Queen of Scots’ third husband, was born here. The castle’s use as a stronghold ceased after the Battle of Dunbar in 1650, and by the mid-19th century it was being used as a granary.

My Hailes Castle illustration is also available on a greetings card.

Please note, the framed image is a mock-up because I haven’t worked out how to photograph through glass – my frames are actually nicer than the mock-up. They’re slightly textured, made of wood and glass. Your print will be numbered, titled and signed on the print and on the mount.

The images on this site are RGB, so your print will differ slightly due to screen calibration and colour mode.

Gift wrapping can be added at the cart. I use coloured kraft paper and paper ribbon (entirely recyclable). I’ll also write your message in one of my greetings cards.

Local collection: if you opt for Haddington pick-up in the shipping options, I’ll email you the address.

About my art: I draw digitally in Adobe Illustrator, often incorporating painted and captured textures into my images later. My commissioned illustration features in many local brands. It can be found on theatre posters and albums across the country, and has also included shortbread tins, books, games, animations and recently – the pinnacle of success – a bin in North Berwick.
