Cally Booker & Bonny Claith logo design
Cally is an amazing hand weaver based in Dundee. She asked me to create her a brand, and a related one for Bonny Claith, the name under which she sells her work.
For this logo design, I wanted to work with the idea of the warp and weft in Cally’s weaving, so developed lettering that created the effect. In the Cally Booker logo, the weft lines are subtly cut through the letters. In the Bonny Claith one, I’ve also extended the verticals to accentuate the warp.
We picked colours from wool that Cally enjoys working with. I love the product labels she had made to attach to her pieces.
