illustration and design for Citizens Theatre, Glasgow

Citizens Theatre in Glasgow asked me to create an illustration for their Pinocchio Christmas show, and to create the posters, flyers and adverts. Then they also asked me to create some more illustrations which could be developed by Simon Biggs into animations to promote the show. This has been one of my favourite projects ever!

I’ve also done some other theatre show illustration and design for Citizens Theatre: The Scrooge poster below was made once there were rehearsal photos available of the actor – further down there’s an advert which uses the illustration I made of the character earlier (in a crazy scene where the bed was wheeled round the stage). The show used puppets, and in the poster is my representation of the real puppet you can see in the photo.

Red is obviously a telling of Red Riding Hood! The character in this poster is based on the actress playing her. It’s a Christmas telling, and this massive book is central to the story, as is Grandma’s caravan in the woods, which. you can see in the postcard below.
