Description
Harvest and gulls, Camptoun print. Limited edition giclee.
I love watching the gulls follow tractors at harvest time. This is another image that lived in my head for years before I finally drew it. I decided to place it to the North of the monument in the Garleton hills because it’s a fantastic skyline. It’s a view I see often when cycling – it unfortunately means “the Yak” is about to be tackled to get back into Haddington, but the bonus of cycling up that beast is that the view from the top is other-worldly, so I keep going back.
This image is drawn as a vector in adobe Illustrator, using a digital tablet, then layered in Photoshop with paintings that I make purely to use as texture. It’s a convoluted process, but I love it.
Please note, the framed image is a mock-up because I haven’t worked out how to photograph through glass – my frames are actually nicer than the mock-up. They’re slightly textured, made of wood and glass. Your print will be numbered, titled and signed on the print and on the mount.
The images on this site are RGB, so your print will differ slightly due to screen calibration and colour mode.
Gift wrapping can be added at the cart. I use coloured kraft paper and paper ribbon (entirely recyclable). I’ll also write your message in one of my greetings cards.
Local collection: if you opt for Haddington pick-up in the shipping options, I’ll email you the address.
